Looking for a peaceful, inspiring space to create ceramics at your own pace?
The open atelier membership at Atelier La Salamandre gives you access to a bright, fully equipped studio for both handbuilding and wheel throwing. As long as you've completed at least two courses (preferably at least one at Atelier La Salamandre) and feel confident working independently with clay, this could be the perfect spot for you!

Practical info about the atelier
My studio is a bright, small-scale, and personal space where you’ll love working. I prefer to set regular day(s) for you to come so you can settle into a consistent creative flow. But we are always flexible when needed.

- 150L kiln

- We also have all kinds of throwing/handbuilding tools available for you to use!
Available days may occasionally vary due to private workshops, but we’ll always discuss your availability and create a schedule that works well for both of us.
Available Days to use the Atelier
Opening times:
- Monday (currently closed)
- Tuesdays 13:30 - 22:00
- Wednesdays 11:00 - 22:00
- Thursdays 11:00 - 22:00
- Fridays 10:00 - 18:30
- Weekends: Always some slots open! Timing varies depending on workshop schedule.
The building in which the atelier is located is open from 8:00 - 22:00 every day. In case you are looking for opening hours outside our current atelier opening hours, we can always discuss this!

Firing service included
Includes unlimited bisque firing and 3kg of glaze firing per month (weight measured after biscque firing/before glaze firing)
Studio Firing temperatures:
- 980°C
- 1020°C
- 1220°C

Want to fire more?
Additional firings can be arranged for a fee. This includes the use of extra studio glazes:
- Full Kiln (150L) = €90 per firing
- Half Kiln (75L) = €50 per firing
- Per KG = €10

Glazes
Use of studio glazes is included. Currently, there are 10 dip glazes available. The collection will gradually expand, giving you access to more options. You're also welcome to bring your own glazes as long as they are tested at the right oven temperature.

Your Personal Storage
You’ll have a half or full open shelf in the studio for your work-in-progress and tools, plus a plastic bucket with lid under your shelf to store clay and reclaim.

Purchasing Clay
Various types of clay are available and can be purchased from me at standard prices. Want to try a clay I don’t have yet? I’d be happy to include it in my next Keramikos order so you don’t have to go yourself.

Clay recycling
We have a sink and a system in place for reclaiming clay water. You're responsible for recycling your own clay trimmings.
