In this workshop, you’ll create your very own ceramic piece from high-quality stoneware clay, making it truly one of a kind. You choose what to make: a mug, bowl, candleholder, small vase, or anything else within your skill level! Whether you’re completely new to clay or have some experience, I’ll guide you step by step so you can relax, have fun, and enjoy the creative process. No prior experience needed!

For the final color, you can choose from a small selection of studio glazes. Want to add more colors or designs? You can book a separate glazing workshop to decorate your piece even further.

What to Expect

We’ll start with a warm welcome and an introduction to handbuilding techniques. You’ll shape your item from clay using different methods and explore ways to make it uniquely yours. Personalize your piece by carving a short message, adding texture, or creating decorative elements in relief.

After the session, your piece will need time to dry before being fired twice and glazed. The result? A beautifully finished, food-safe, dishwasher-proof, and durable ceramic item, ready to be enjoyed every day.

Tip: Think about your design in advance so you can fully enjoy the creative process during the workshop.

What’s Included in the Price?

All materials needed, including 500 grams of high-quality stoneware clay

Use of tools and equipment to shape and personalize your mug

Glaze service and two kiln firings to ensure your mug is food-safe, durable, and long-lasting

Coffee, tea, and a sweet treat in a cozy atmosphere

Duration & collection

Duration: The workshop lasts 2,5 hours 

Collection: Your finished item will be ready for pick-up approximately 3-4 weeks after the session. Prefer shipping? No problem! I can send it to you for €12,50 per package (shipping at your own risk).

Good to Know

• I speak both Dutch and English, so the workshop will be in either language or a fun mix of both, depending on what the group prefers!
• The workshop will be held in my cozy atelier in Weesp (Stationsweg 28-8), right next to the train station. If you're driving, there's plenty of parking for just €1.20 per hour.
  
• Working with clay is easiest with short nails! 
• Handwashing is always recommended to keep your handmade pieces looking their best. However, ceramics are also dishwasher safe!
