Atelier Assistant – Learn, create & be part of the team!
Do you love working with clay and want to discover what happens behind the scenes of creative workshops and courses? Then this might be perfect for you!
Atelier La Salamandre is looking for an Atelier Assistant; someone who brings positive energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to our atelier community. Support with running our atelier, in exchange for your own clay time!
In exchange for 4 hours of studio support per week, you’ll receive:

Membership: Up to 5 hours per week of independent clay time,wheel-throwing or handbuilding
(usually €190 per month)

We will work closely together and I’ll teach you everything about running a ceramics studio: from clay recycle to loading kilns!

Every quarter, you’ll receive a €100 workshop voucher to enjoy a creative workshop, on your own or together with a friend.
What I’m looking for:
- Someone who brings positivity and energy to the studio
- A commitment of at least 8 months to learning and working with clay
- Available one full day or two half days per week (with approximately 4 hours dedicated to studio support)
- Some experience with clay is helpful but not required; most importantly, you love working with clay!
- Someone who enjoys being part of a small, creative startup!
Weekly tasks may include:
First things first: enjoying a good cup of coffee or tea! ☕
- Recycling clay
- Glazing workshop pieces
- Loading and unloading the kiln
- Preparing glazes & testing colors
- Making examples for workshops
- Cleaning brushes & palettes
- Watering plants (I’m very bad at this haha...)
- Keeping the studio clean and organized
- Setting up workshop tables
- Helping organize the studio (labeling shelves, re-organising cabinets etc.)
- Assisting with workshops or external events when needed
- Packing webshop orders
