Create Your Own One-of-a-Kind Vase

Turn a simple glass vase into a true work of art! In this creative and relaxing workshop, you’ll design and hand-paint your very own flower vase using premium glass paints. usually thought in one 4-hour session or two 2-our sessions. Along the way, you’ll learn new brush techniques and create a unique piece that will brighten your home.

This workshop is perfect if you love floral designs, enjoy being creative, or simply want to try something new — no experience required! Just bring your enthusiasm. I’ll guide you step by step in a supportive atmosphere, so everyone leaves with a beautiful, personalized vase to be proud of.

What to Expect

We start with a warm welcome and a short introduction to the basics of glass painting. You’ll practice floral motifs and decorative techniques on a glass test plate first, so you can experiment and gain confidence before working on your final piece.

When painting your vase, you can use floral drawings placed inside the glass as a guide. This helps you plan the layout of your design before painting, giving you confidence and creative freedom.

💡 Tip: Think about the color combination and flowers you love in advance. It helps you dive straight into the creative flow!

Workshop Details

• Duration: 2 sessions of 2 hours each, or 1 session of 4  hours (including small break)

  • One glass flower vase to design and paint. Dimensions: Ø15 x H30 cm
  • Step-by-step guidance and personal coaching
  • Practice time on a glass test plate
  • Use of premium, water-resistant glass paints, including metallic and relief paints in all the colors you love!
  • All materials and tools — just show up and enjoy!
  • Coffee, tea, and a small treat
  • Pausetip: In the 4 hour workshop, there’s a short break halfway through. Lunch is not included, so you’re welcome to bring your own!

Can I take my vase home after the workshop?

The easiest option is to leave your vase with me after the workshop. I’ll fire it in my kiln and take care of everything! Your finished piece will be ready for pickup within about two weeks.

If it’s difficult for you to come back, no worries! You’re welcome to take your vase home and fire it yourself. The vase is 30 cm high, so be sure to check your oven dimensions first. You’ll receive clear, easy-to-follow instructions for firing it safely in a household oven.

Depending on the paint thickness and weather conditions, we may briefly pre-bake your vase after the workshop so it’s dry enough to transport safely. Please note: at this stage, the vase is not yet permanently fired and should be handled with a little extra care.

Good to Know

• With proper care, the paint on your glass item will last a lifetime. To preserve your design, please hand wash only and avoid abrasive materials, such as scrubbing sponges.
  
• I speak both Dutch and English, so the workshop will be in either language or a fun mix of both, depending on what the group prefers!
• The workshop will be held in my cozy atelier in Weesp (Stationsweg 28-8), right next to the train station. If you're driving, there's plenty of parking for just €1.20 per hour.
