Curious about the pottery wheel? Ready to get your hands messy and create something unique?

Join our 3-hour pottery wheel introduction session. The perfect way to try wheel throwing without committing to a full course!

Designed for beginners, I’ll guide you step by step through the essentials. You’ll learn to center the clay, try to shape your first cylinder, and create 1–2 beautiful small pieces to take home. After your workshop, your creations will be trimmed, glazed in our signature white studio glaze, and fired to be food- and dishwasher safe. Want to add colors or decorations? You can do this in a separate glazing workshop.

Why You’ll Love This Workshop

  • Hands-on fun: over 2.5 hours of wheel throwing plus 20 minutes for clean-up

  • Learn the essentials: including the “walking the clay” technique

  • Personal guidance: maximum of 4 participants ensures plenty of attention

  • All materials included: high-quality stoneware clay, tools, aprons

  • Cozy atmosphere: enjoy coffee, tea, and something sweet while you work

  • Take home your creations: 1–2 pieces ready in about 4 weeks

This is your chance to explore your creativity, try something new, and see if wheel throwing is right for you. No experience is needed! Just bring your curiosity and sense of fun!

Good to know

  • Minimum of 2 participants required for the course to take place.
  • Usually taught in Dutch, but if you are English, I will make it a fun mix of both (no problem!)
  • Make sure your nails are short! Throwing on the wheel with long nails is very difficult and can damage both your clay and your nails.
  • Bring an old towel and wear old clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
  • Please read the FAQ before booking, including the cancellation policy.
